SWOT ANALYSIS OF THE GROUNDWATER MANAGEMENT IN PIAUÍ

SWOT analysis is an administration tool used to analyze the internal and external environments of an organization in order to identify advantages and disadvantages to establish scenarios for a certain goal. Transposing this notion to water resources management, SWOT analysis could be used to elaborate scenarios looking for the strengthening of the management. Thus, it was used to produce the scenarios of groundwater resources in the state of Piauí. It was listed the strength and opportunities which could help on the strengthening of management, as well as the weaknesses and threats which could difficult achieving the goal.
