COST MANAGEMENT METHODOLOGY IN WATER INFRASTRUCTURE MAINTENANCE: A CASE STUDY ON WATER MAINS QUICKLY ASSEMBLY IN CEARÁ.
Abstract
The solid water resources management policy of the state of Ceará, as well as water security for its multiple users, inevitably passes for guaranteeing the operability of its water infrastructures, in particular the water mains raw water. It is noticed that as important as the investment for the construction of water infrastructures, is also the maintenance of these infrastructures. However, we know that resources are limited and the public manager needs to spend right and optimally, but for that he needs tools that help him in the decision making. In this sense, the work sought to present a methodology that could define a hierarchy in the priority of investments for the application of financial resources for maintenance in water mains of quickly assembly that were built to minimize the impacts of the water crisis. The database for the methodology presented was the formal inspection sheets, called checklist. In the end, the methodology was able to precisely rank the water mains in terms of their importance and based on vulnerability parameter in order to obtain investment priority.
